Booking Conditions 


Booking conditions....

  1. 1. Arrival and departure times
    The earliest time your lodge will be available to you is 4.00pm. The departure time is by 10am at the latest on your departure dayd.
  2. 2. Number in your party
    It is a condition of your booking that the total number of persons does not exceed the number on your 'Booking Confirmation'. You should notify us before your holiday starts if you want to increase the number. This may be subject to an additional charge.
  3. 3. Booking confirmation
    A minimum of 25% deposit is required for us to issue a 'booking confirmation'. Any balance of money must be paid at least 6 weeks before the start date of the holiday. The balance amount and the due date will be clearly stated on your 'booking confirmation'.
  4. 4. Cancellation or Changes by You
    Once you've booked the holiday you have entered into a legally binding contract. If you cancel, for whatever reason (including weather and medical related) then no refund of the deposit will be due, and within six weeks of the holiday no refund of the full balance is due. We recommend and expect that you will have or will take out a holiday insurance policy prior to your stay. We will offer the option of changing the date of your holiday if you telephone us.
  5. 5. Minors
    We cannot accept bookings from anyone under 18 years of age.
  6. 6. Linen and Towels
    Bed linen is provided, and the beds are made prior to your arrival. Towels are also available as an optional extra as 'Towel Sets' when you place your booking.
  7. 7. Electricity and Gas
    Electricity, Gas and water is included in the hire charge.
  8. 8. Pets
    Pets are allowed at the appropriate charge, (guide and hearing dogs are allowed free of charge). You must bring your pet basket with you as pets are allowed on the clear understanding that under no circumstances may they lie on the bedding or chairs. Pets must NOT be left unattended in the lodge or elsewhere other than with the strict permission of ourselves.
  9. 9. Your vehicles
    Your vehicles and accessories and contents are left entirely at your risk. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage from or to any vehicle from any cause whatsoever.
  10. 10. Transfer of Booking
    You may only transfer a booking to someone else with our consent. We reserve the right to charge an administration fee for this transfer, the fee not exceeding £25.
  11. 11. Force Majeure
    We cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation to you where circumstances amounting to 'force majeure' mean we have to cancel your holiday. Such circumstances include destruction or damage to your holiday lodge through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break-in, criminal damage or any similar event beyond our control.
  12. 12. Guest Behaviour
    Oakwood is run as a 'quiet park' and we expect all guests to observe this. Music must not be played such that it can be heard in other lodges. We ask all guests to respect the privacy and solitude of all other guests. We reserve the right to eject guests from Oakwood who display any behaviour detrimental to other Guests and Staff.
  13. 13. Hot tubs
    Hot tubs are for the exclusive use of the lodge occupants. Hot tubs will have all the chemicals required put in before your arrival. During busy periods it may be rare but possible that the Tub might not be ready for immediate use on the day of arrival.
  14. 14. Drinking in Hot Tubs
    Drinking in Hot Tubs is allowed; however guests take full responsibility for any injuries caused by broken glass. Breakages must be reported to Park Staff immediately. No liability is accepted by Oakwood Lodge Park Ltd or its staff for such injuries.
  15. 15. Charging electrical vehicles
    Charging electrical vehicles is not permitted under any circumstances at any accommodation. If you are found to be doing so, extra charges may apply.
  16. 16. Guest Responsibility
    The supervision of children, babies, dogs and any adults requiring care remains your responsibility at all times.
  17. 17. No smoking
    We have a no smoking policy within our properties. We have put an ash tray outside for your use to make sure you only smoke outside. 
  18. 18. Behaviour 
    You and all members of your party should;
  19. Not behave in an anti-social manner, breach the peace or otherwise act in a way which disrupts or affects the enjoyment of others;
  20. Behave in a way at all times which does not break any law or regulation;
  21. Not use the accommodation for any illegal or commercial purpose;
  22. Not sublet the accommodation or any part thereof or otherwise allow anyone to stay in it who we have not previously accepted as a member of your party;
  23. In the event of a breach of these conditions we shall be entitled to terminate your stay with immediate effect and no refund shall be due to you.
